The Titanic seal trials happened on the 2nd of April 1912. The Titanic left Belfast Harbour at 6 am on the morning of the 2nd.
The original Titanic sea trials were supposed to take day on the previous day; on the 1st of April 1912. However, the weather was poor that day, there were high winds, which postponed the Titanic seal trials until the following day. During the Titanic seal trials, the ship was tested in several ways to make sure that it was working properly and safe. Captain Smith was in charge of the Titanic during the trails and during the maiden voyage. The Titanic also was tested at different speeds throughout the day of the 2nd of April.
The trials came to an end that evening, by 7 pm, the Titanic was back in Belfast harbour. This was the last time that Titanic would ever see Belfast. Her return to Belfast didn't last long. Around an hour later, at 8 PM, the Titanic set sail yet again, this time to Southampton.
