When we say that the second class passenger menu on the Titanic was the most in-depth out of all the class menus, what we mean is that second class passengers on the Titanic seemed to have more to choose from than the first class passengers and the third class passengers. The menus of the second class passengers seem to suggest this. Here is one of the menus for second class passengers of the Titanic: |
The breakfast menu for second class passengers was quite different to the other two classes.
The second classes onboard the Titanic still had a rather more tasty menu than those in third class. Even if their second class menu was not a refined as the first class.
For breakfast, the second class could order a variety of foods. They could order a variety of meats. Which included: ox, ham, and bacon. Or, they could order things such as fruit, marmalade or rolls.
Here is the second class dinner menu:
Dinner
The dinner menu for second class passengers onboard the Titanic had the equivalent of a three-course meal.
For starters, second class passengers could have things such as baked haddock and sharp sauce. They also could have tapioca or consomme.
As a main dish for dinner, second class passengers could choose from a wide variety of things. These included: chicken curry and spring lamb.
For dessert, there was also a wide choice people could make. Passengers could choose light desert meals such s fruit or biscuits. Or, if they weren't full up by this point, they could choose something heavier, such as pudding or ice cream.
